Create a new contact form

  1. In your WordPress admin dashboard, go to “Contact” and click on “Contact Forms” under the Contact Form 7 menu.
  2. Click on “Add New” to create a new contact form.
  3. Give your form a title and configure the form fields by adding the necessary input fields like name, email, message, etc.
  4. Customize the form by adding additional fields, adjusting field settings, or modifying the form layout.
  5. Save the form when you’re done editing.

Configure mail settings

  1. While editing your contact form, click on the “Mail” tab.
  2. Set the recipient’s email address in the “To” field. This is where the form submissions will be sent.
  3. Customize the email subject and message body as needed.
  4. Configure additional settings like “From,” “Additional Headers,” and “File Attachments” if required.
  5. Save the form to apply the mail settings.

Set up form notifications:

  1. Click on the “Messages” tab while editing your contact form.
  2. Customize the messages displayed to users after a form submission, such as success or error messages.
  3. Save the form to apply the notification settings.

Add the form to a page or post:

  1. Once your form is configured, copy the shortcode provided at the top of the form editing page.
  2. Create a new page or post where you want to display the contact form.
  3. Paste the shortcode into the content area of the page or post.
  4. Publish or update the page or post.

Add the form to a page or post:

  1. Visit the page or post where you added the contact form.
  2. Fill in the form fields with test data.
  3. Submit the form to check if the form submission and email notifications are working correctly.
  4. Check the specified recipient email address for the submitted form data.
